My thoughts on the reply Yes or No to our request. By Roger J Lown

We all like to hear Yes, No on the other hand is not friendly at all. I had a friend of mine many years ago who first became a corrections officer. In his training he learned this valuable lesson: if you're not sure always say no. A No can always be turned into a Yes, but a Yes cannot be turned into a No. Think about that advice!

Giving the answer No when we are not ready to give a Yes is very helpful to us. In most cases we say No to people because we don't have enough information. In the case of making friends on facebook my question is who do we know mutually? If you have family friendly postings then I welcome you as my friend. 

So the next time you ask somebody for something and they reply no, they may be seeking more information and they want to feel secure in giving the OK for your request. Yes and No gives us options and freedom. Not everything in life is Yes and not everything in life is No. When we answer No, it gives us time to get more information and feeling more confident in saying Yes I OK this.
