The following is from page 10 of my ebook "Your Mind Your Possibilities Go Get It!" (available on amazon kindle) By Roger J Lown Writer Author and Speaker of Possibilities.

The term Go-getter describes an ambitious enterprising person. A person who works very hard and who wants very much to succeed is also described as enterprising. From taking out the trash to building projects a go-getter is a person who is a workhorse, dynamo, and a hustler. We don’t sit still, mentally or physically. A go-getter doesn’t simply “wish” our way to success, we work our way to success! We do both physical work as in labor and mental work such as planning, study, writing, and computer tasks. The term go-getter describes an ambitious person. We want something in life and we go after it. I enjoyed the movie “The Pursuit Of Happyness” starring Will Smith who plays Chris Gardner. In one particular scene the father and his son are standing by the fence at the basketball court. The ambitious father looks over at his son and offers inspiring and loving advice to him, “You want something go get it, period!” The movie is a portrayal of an inspirational father who faced a series of heartbreaks and disappointments in his journey of pursuing his dream of becoming a successful stockbroker. As go-getters we put action to our thoughts. We don’t wait for opportunities; we seek them with wisdom and common sense. You want something in life that you enjoy doing while you are also serving others. You go get it!
