I recently received this letter from the President. When you are working on your life goals and dreams, one call, one letter may not do it all. You may have to send a thousand before that person reads the first one. Fortunately I did not have long to wait for a response on my letters. I hope I encourage those who are working on their life goals and dreams to be persistent but polite. Keep working on your life dreams and goals until they happen!

I wrote “Your encouraging Strategy©” for the purpose of providing my reader with that ounce of encouragement and inspiration when we are at a solitary and frustrating point in our lives. Just when we need the most encouragement to keep moving forward in our life goals, we cannot find it in any one individual. But that ounce of encouragement can be found here. When you get to that point where you feel no one believes in you, that’s when you have to believe in you and in your dreams that you are working on.

I have been through quite a few uneasy trials in life. What happens when you are financially struggling, the lights get turned off, the flatbed truck takes off with your repossessed vehicle, divorce happens to you, and whatever else life happens to throw your way? Are you still breathing? Is your heart still beating? Good! Remember, much can be taken from us in life. But we still own our dream! God gave us our dreams just like He gave to Joseph. So when life happens, keep breathing, thinking, and keep moving forward!

Achieving you life dreams are accomplished only one way, and that is by hard work and perseverance. You desire to work on your life dreams. But life happens and you fall on the ground. Even so, get back up dust yourself off and keep moving forward!

“We have a 10-75!”: The life of the American volunteer firfighter. Benjamin Franklin began an American tradition that many community-minded men and women have carried on with great honor and reliability since. This show is a journey into the lives of ordinary citizens—both men and women between the ages of sixteen to sixty—who become extraordinary heroes at the sound of alert tones and the wail of the firehouse siren. There are many conflicts and arguments since the volunteer fire department is dysfunctional just like any other family. But when the alarm goes off they come together as a close, secure family on the fire scene.

 After doing my research. I came up with a great opening for this show idea. The more I think about it, this show could also be a drama series based on volunteer firefighter’s lives. Here it is:

The show starts with an image of Ben Franklin as a volunteer fireman. Colonial fife and drum music plays in the background while a narrator states the following:

“In 1736, Benjamin Franklin created the Union Fire Company, also known as the Bucket Brigade. The organization operated with horse-drawn engines and buckets. Today, that tradition of voluntarily saving lives and property continues.”

The scene fades and we see a vintage vision of early firefighters taking turns striking a steel locomotive ring hanging from wood rafters to alert all members of the firefighting community. This is what they did in the days before motorized apparatus and firehouse whistles. The scene fades again to a horse-drawn, steam engine carrying men shouting, “Fire!” as they move down the street expeditiously. The vintage film turns to color, as the horse-drawn apparatus with its leather hat warriors becomes a modern fire truck in route to a fire call. The federal Q siren screams to clear the way. The show begins with cameras capturing the lives of volunteer firefighters who respond to fire and rescue calls 365 days a year, even on holidays and birthdays. Their life story has not been heard until now.

            Who will answer America’s call for help? The American Volunteer Firefighter, that’s who!

Reality show idea: America's Single Parent; forgotten no more. Pitch: The relationship ended but you don’t stop being a parent.

This show presents the life of single divorced moms and dads and what they struggle with while persevering against the odds to be an active and involved parent in their children’s lives. The relationship did not work but these moms and dads work on being the parent their children need. This is an opportunity for single parents to tell about their commitment to maintain a healthy parent to child relationships despite personal hardships and struggles. There are single moms and dads who are making sacrifices of their time and putting their children’s needs before their needs. They are not receiving the love support and encouragement they need to keep moving forward. With the exception of dead-beat dads there are single fathers who are active supportive and engaged in their children’s lives and they have been forgotten in the family tragedy of divorce. When your relationship ends you don’t stop being a parent.

           

            This is an opportunity for single divorced moms and dads to share their story with the audience. I want to bring to attention the dad who is doing the right thing by paying child support and rearranging his life around his children. What the single moms and dads want the audience to know is how they are adjusting their lives and making sacrifices for the sake of their children. Driving back and forth to see their children and spending limited time with them while paying their own fuel and auto expenses. These single silent heroes just go about doing what they have to do and all the while being looked down upon for being divorced. No one has heard his or her cry for help until now.

             America’s single moms and dads are given the opportunity to share with the audience what he/she is doing to make life as bearable and adjustable as possible for his/her children despite not living in the same home. This show shines the light on America’s single parent telling their story to the audience as though a close friend is listening because that’s what this show is about.

            This is an opportunity for single divorced moms and dads to explain and show the audience what they are doing to improve their children’s lives despite this life setback. Single moms and dads can also share with the audience how they are getting their lives back in order and adjusting to their new life change.

Six days of work, one day of rest. By Roger J Lown.

Work is required to bring our dreams into our reality. Our minds are ready to think and create for us. But we must also take one day to rest our minds and our bodies and to be thankful for what we have. Even the most ambitious go-getting entrepreneur needs a day of rest and to give gratitude for what they have been given.

    Six days of work, and one day of rest to appreciate and be grateful for what we have and who has provided our abundance. Giving ourselves on day of rest from both laborious and intellectual work allows us to take that day and refresh and regenerate our body, mind, and soul. This one day of rest also gives us time to be mindful, grateful and appreciative for what we have and where our abundance came from. As we are blessed we should also bless other people with our friendship.
